DP-X1 + E12A

Hey!

Anybody here using this combo?
Right now Im using DP-X1 and it sounds great. But I have read a lot of good stuff about E12A. So my question is would I down grade the Onkyos sound if I paired it E12A? Are the amps in it better than the amps in DP-X1?
Maybe a hard question to ask but any answers would be appreciated.

I would say stacking your DP-X1 with E12A would change the sound signature for sure. E12A would give you a more engaging kind of sound signature as compared to the built in amp in DP-X1. It depends which kind of sound signature you prefer. No upgrade/downgrade but personal preference. I like to stack pioneer XDP-300R with ALO Continental V5. More neutral sounding

Well I really like the airiness of the Dpx1 but I would like a little bit more ”musical” sound. Im afraid that airiness would dissapear if I pair it with E12a. I think Im just gonna listen to Dpx1 alone and get used to the sound.
