Any suggestions? I'm looking for something similar to Zero 7/Dido type music. Thanx

The only triphop album I've ever liked is Portishead's "Dummy". Great album.

I dunno, but she seems to be in alot of their songs.

Hmmm...other downtempo trip-hop, DustyChalk gave you 3 great choices, along with ChadBang and DarkAngel. Here's my trip hop essential list:

Massive Attack - Mezzanine, Protection
Tricky - Blowback, Maxinquaye
Portishead - Dummy
Sneakerpimps - only the becoming X album)
Hooverphonic - New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular
Bjork - Post comes to mind, but any album
Cardigans - Gran Turismo
Morcheeba - Who Can You Trust
Thievery Corporation - Mirror Conspiracy
EBTG
Gus Gus - Polydistortion
the new Groove Armada CD
Esthero
Halou - Wiser
Q-Burns AM

I take that back..some the first couple ones are essential trip-hop. The others are just recommendations.

if you like odd stuff, check Boards Of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children if you haven't already. it's at the same time both very mechanical and totally organic and natural. but perhaps not totally fitting with the specific niche we're talking about here.

personal favourite for real slow trip-hoppish music is Chroma Key, with the album Dead Air For Radios a bit better, but You Go Now a bit more trip-hoppy. again a bit on the edge of your description tho.

Where's Neruda when you need him? Thievery Corporation, and my favorite: Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister.

edit:

I've got in order of favorites this week -
Kruder & Dorfmeister - K&D Sessions
Peace Orchestra (Kruder) - Peace Orchestra
Zero 7 - Simple Things
Massive Attack - Mezzanine
Thievery Corp. - Mirror Conspiracy
Kruder & Dorfmeister - DJ Kicks

Hey...thanks everyone. Now I have somewhere to start. FYI, I am pretty sure Dido's brother is a member of Faithless as I remember reading it in one of her bios.
