Hi,
I have a Matrix Mini-i and JBL speakers connected Optical to my TV and XLR connections to the speakers. This is great for stereo sound, but as I know everyone has heard before the sound is terrible for 5.1 sound from Netflix, Plex, etc on my TV. The best situation would be to find a playback device that can downmix well. My LG C9 tv doesn't have any good options to do so.
But I find this way too easy and things are not usually easy. So is there a way to add a center channel for audio with another speaker? I'm guessing I would need a 5.1 receiver and a center speaker for it? Any way I could attach all that to my matrix dac and have it all run off one audio source? Or is there an easier and better way of doing all this?
Thanks.
