Well, I went to the surgeon today to get my umbilical hernia surgery checked out. The good news is that the tissue is healing fine. The bad news is I have an infection along the incision and it hurts so bad I could not sleep last night. The Doctor cut out about half of the scab in the new belly-button (an innie finally!). He also prescribed me an antibiotic, special antibiotic soap, and a pain killer. Since the pain killer is oxycodone I am out of work until Monday now. Thankfully, I had just enough leave time to cover it.

At least all of this is covered by insurance, and I am healing pretty well considering. But it is still not a vacation....

Oxycodone is so addictive because it works. Maybe too well. Only take it for as long as you really have to.

So did your outie really become an innie? Sorry about your pain, but that's kinda cool!

It sucks to have any medical problems. Hope you get better real soon, and please post how your headphone listening experience differs while 'high' on oxycodone

Man, I've always wanted an outie myself.

Well, my Skullcandy Ink'd work real well for when I try to sleep. I just replaced the included eartips with the bi-flange eartips for my UE super.fi 5 (same size but withouth the molded in logo). Lower profile makes it easier to sleep with them. Of course, I had gotten them on sale originally for when cutting grass, so it is a win/win situation now.

Yep. It had gotten so bad before the surgery. My navel stuck out like one on a 9 month pregnant woman. Hurt like heck too. Now it is an innie. If I can get rid of the infection and pain, I'll be ok. The doctor said the tissue underneath looks good, so that is one positive thing anyway.

That it does. And it doesn't do it gradually. Like somebody flipped a switch, pain is just GONE. I can sleep at night again!

Vycotin works pretty well, too, but it works too well. When I had my wisdom teeth removed, they gave it to me, and told me to use it sparingly because it does have addictive properties apparently. Whatever. Bottom line, every time I took it, it straight knocked me out for 4 hours. That was some intense stuff.
