How does adding a double adapter to an headphone extension cable affect the output?

I dabble in electronics, but all I can make out is that 2 headphones would mean higher impedance load? And that means...???

Are there high quality double adapters available?

Typically, this is a bad idea. I would only recommend doing this if both headphones were exactly the same. The dips and spikes in the impedance curves of two different headphones could prove fatal to the fidelity.

You want to do a double-blind? Then you'll need a friend. Of course, the physical feel of the headphone might give it away.

Otherwise, just unplug one, and plug the other one in.

Yes, that's what I wanted to avoid. I want to be able to change between headphones as quick as possible.
