So a guy here in my city is selling a Sundara that he bought in December.

And I've watched on youtube about the "stealth" upgrade the Sundara got, improving the sub-bass and the high mids.

So, can you guys help me identifying if this very pair got this upgrade?

Hi there,

Thank you for purchasing our products. :o2smile:
As the manufacturer, we noticed the online review that mentions the Stealth Revision of SUNDARA as well. But we assure that there's nothing has been changed to the driver to tweak the sound of SUNDARA. We've only improved the stock earpads for enhanced comfort and durability, but nothing changed to the size or shape of the earpdas, so actually we never have the "Stealth Revision version".
If you'd like to buy the latest batch of SUNDARA, you could always place an order at our official stores, either through the HIFIMAN eBay store (hifimanofficial) or HIFIMAN website.
We feel sorry for the misunderstandings. Feel free to email us at Customerservice@hifiman.com if you have any other questions.

Thank you!

April

As far as I've seen, I can confirm there has been no stealth upgrade. There are still tons of Sundara in Bucharest now, seems people fell in love with it as much as I did, but the newer ones didn't have a stealth upgrade, it is the same, just some minor changes to the pads, where HIFIMAN changed the glue, because the older ones could losen the glue if used during summer, at 50C.

If you still have an older pair, don't worry, I have a friend who had the pads replaced under warranty, it took very little time and HIFIMAN has been responsive and helpful.

I try to keep an eye on what's going and coming around me, at least in Romania, since people are quite talkative here

For example, there are more Arya in Bucharest than there are LCD-4, but there are more Sundara than both of those combined.
