Does the need to modify headphones ever bum you out?

That usual "the experts propably know best how things should be" approach is at least a bit simple-hearted IMO. It's similar to the way I looked at grown-ups as a kid, they were all-knowing godlike creatures. Damned, where have they all gone?

Manufacturers can't afford to do many things in order to keep the cost of production down. For example, carefully damp internal exposed plastic with something, etc... And i'm not counting that everyone's heads are different and comfort-mods are absolutely sane.

Psh.

Modding is great! I love it!

Optimization of performance gives our hobby greater depth and even more passion.
Companies are smart, but many of these mods do not make economic or manufacturing sense. Take it as an opprotubity to get a new headphone for a little elbow grease.

Or they simply ****** up the phone and hence some feel the need to modify it.
Just look at the Stax SR-007A and SR-007MK2, compared to the SR-007 and SR-007BL...
