Does SQ decrease if...

You should lump all these questions onto your other thread.....

They are pretty much the same except you will have to supply your own mini-mini lead for the first one. No difference in SQ as long as you use a decent mini-mini.

Nothing stupid at all, good question. Most people will say that for a short run like that it will not make a difference. Are they correct? Who knows. If you do get one then having one built with solid core wire would be preferable. That cheap stranded wire cannot have a positive effect on the sound, especially when its being used as a source. I would also recommend going with either Copper or Silver, I had some cables with the silver plated copper and they absolutely sucked, did not sound good at all. I ended up going with copper, it sounds dynamic and natural.

http://www.whiplashaudio.com/cables/...opper-lod.html<~~Seems to be built well using nice copper wire and it is not over priced like most of them are.

I was thinking the extra mini-mini connection might decrease some of the quality...Feel free to call me stupid!

Thanks!

All connectors are bad in theory but as long as the connection is good the difference between a hard wired connection and a plug connection will be below human audibility. I have done numerous test on the effect of connectors. The effect is miniscule and not worth worrying about and I am talking about $2 connectors here not some exotics hand crafted by Tibetan monks.

With the additional connector its a risk that you may loose sound quality, audible or not.
Hence I would say a one-cable solution like this is the optimum.

I lose all frequencies above 22K by using redbook rather than high res but since I cannot hear them I do not worry about them...
