Hi all;

Do any of you fellow mac folks use the PC Link for MD-MT99 with a G4 Mac running System X?

Or, more broadly, do any of you know if this will work? I assume you don't need a driver.

Any comments appreciated.

Matthew:

It should work just fine -- all it is is a USB audio connector. Since Macs support USB audio natively, you should have no problems.

Keep in mind that with any OS/hardware a) USB audio is CPU dependent (so if you do a lot of really CPU-intensive stuff while you're streaming audio to your MD recorder, you may experience skips); and b) USB audio picks up ALL sound, including error messages and system sounds, so if you generate any other sounds while you're streaming audio to your MD recorder, they'll be recorded

thanks macDEF;

I had hoped the USB would bypass the error messages etc.

Presently, I'm using a miniplug>miniplug from my external speaker into my MD recorder line in. (A Sony MZ-R37) What would be the advantage of using a dedicated USB link?

I'm just using this to record streaming internet radio.

thanks

Matthew
