I am looking into getting some headphones for PC gaming, because I play a bit of counter-strike. I want to get headphones that will serve me better than the overpriced gaming "headsets" out there. I am not at all an expert on headphones, but it seems that the ue 6000 will more than please me in terms of sound quality for music - especially since I can pick it up for like $90 on ebay.
That being said, communication is a very important part of counter-strike, and I am hoping the built-in mic in the chord works with PC. I've heard that it offers pretty clear voice communication. This would beat buying an attachable mic, especially since I only have a 3.5 mm headphone jack on my pc...no mic in,
I also have a steelseries usb dongle that is advertised as an external sound card. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a mic-in jack. Would this work if I end up having to purchase an attachable mic?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Jon
