My main source right now is a Sony 595, and I've been feeling an itch to upgrade. I have a Philips 963-SA hooked up to the TV for DVD, and was thinking about getting it modded if anyone still does work on those units. If I can find someone to mod it, I wonder how it sound compared to say, a stock Rega Apollo or even one the modded Sony SACD units. If the rest of my equipment is of any help, I have:
DT880 ('03), DT770 Pro 80, and Corda HA-1 MkII. Any thoughts?
