I found that my ear cannal would become tender after prolonged use with the etys, also it seemed like they stretched out my are cannals.
the 26ps make my ears saore because they sit on top of them .

DT880 - nope
HD555 - nope
MS1 - fatigue starts about hour 2-3
KSC75 - nope
E2c - fatigue starts about hour 3-4

So overall (seeing as DT880 & KSC75 are most used) the answer would have to be no

Grados : yes, after 30 minutes
Beyerdynamics : a little
KSC-75 : a little
Stax Lambda or Omega : no
Senn HD 6X0, HE 60 : yes, the clamping force sucks
AKG K XXX : a little
K1000 : no
I absolutely can't stand IEMs.Custom molded IEMs may vary.

I have no problems with pain with any of my IEMs. Senns, Fostex, and Beyers have never hurt me. My SR-60 has never hurt me. SR-325s... yeah. It's an abusive relationship. I love them so much though

I guess it stands to reason that a headphone with so much attack would do damage.

Grados after a few hours. Beyerdynamics only after a few hours if I'm listening louder than normal. Sennheisers, not at all. The IEMs I've tried hurt my ears.

Assuming we are talking about hearing pain as opposed to my ear lobes/cartilage being sore from the headphones then - no.

I do not listen to my music loud enough to hurt my ears. Sometimes after an hour or two I need to take my cans off and rub my ears but that is different kind of pain. Most Grados do this to me instantly, ouch! Now I know why some people call them Gratos. Too bad they sound so good (to me) that they are my next purchase
