I'd like to know how many people use their Beyers as portables?

This question came to mind from reading another recent thread about wearing the large ATH900s as portables. I don't think I could ever do that.

I've just discovered the joys of the Beyer DT770s

So I thought I would ask this question with regards to Beyerdynamic))))...They look ok on, maybe a bit bulky, but the headband is very low profile, and velour pads are so silky smooth and comfy.... I'm curious about how many wear their Beyers in public.

Please post your opinions.

Yeah wore my DT770s out all the time (when I had them).

They were with me during my 4 day hospital stay when my daughter was born.

I wear my 880's around campus and in the library and such. I don't take em on trips simply because they are too hard to transport in a bag or something similar.

If, and I do not hope that day will come, my ES2 get lost or get broken, then surely I will use my DT880 in public, the ES2 and the DT880 can sound so much alike that I'll buy a second DT880 just for the road.

Strange, just today I was envisioning wearing my DT880s in public. No way man, too much risk of theft/damage, not to mention lots of pointing/laughing

They're so big though.... I just saw someone walking around town with a pair of HD590. They are much smaller though.

I'm not too sure if I'm worried about theft? I sure haven't seen any news articles about people being bashed for their headphones?...I could be wrong though.

I wear my DT250 in public wherever I need private space for relaxation and concentration. For closed circumaurals they are as sleek as possible on your head IMO, they are also relatively portable in the sense that they are built robustly and quite light.

These cans look far too anonymous and matte black for people to be amused by seeing me wearing them. It is more like they make some people curious - this is equipment intended for people that works with sound to make a living and that's exactly how they look.

No. I was working there in a club, two years ago. Then went on to the Keys and did a stint in a bar called 'Sloppy Joe's'.

I loved the shopping down in that Hispanic area and the bay area where you could buy so many types of food.

The heat was fantastic and I put too much weight on. Loved it.

I'm in the UK.

I don't leave the house without DT770s on my head.
