Do you use headphones mainly at home or portably?

I voted fifty-fifty but I do most of my listening at work.

My main rig is a portable rig, so it goes where I go, be it home or office. What changes is the headphone. At home, where I don't worry about headphone hair
, I use my HD595. At work, I listen with all my other cans -- pretty much all portable cans.

100% at home. When I'm out in the world I like to take it all in, not tune it out with headphones.

About even. The only headphones that leave the house are the EX71's for work.

These days, I use headphones mostly on the go. I use primarily loudspeakers at home.

And my listening priorities remain more or less the same as before.

I voted 50/50, but i should have voted also " Priorities shifted from portable to home listening", because even though i listen as much portably as at home, i'm paying more attention to home listening than i used to

Since I've been doing a lot more design on the computer lately rather than prototyping outside, most of my headphone time is at work.
Out of the day, I'd say I spend about 90 minutes listening on my bike (45 minutes each way to work), about 4-5 hours at work on my akg 240s, and about 20-30min at home on my 580's.

Where's the option for listening at work?

I put everything except for shifting because...

Depends on where/season

Season = active, well...outside!
season !=active, well, inside!

so there.

l used to be really interested in portable audio, but then I realized how much better home setups could sound.

Although I still take my ER4s with me most of the time.

Mostly at home. The only time I really use phones away from home is on my bike but I don't ride this time of year, too damn hot

Mostly at home; home/portable priorities stayed the same, but speaker/headphone priorities shifted to the latter. I love isolation and intimacy! Especially in my semi-noisy house (singing sister, pianer-playing dad, and main rig fifteen unobstructed feet from the kitchen) :271smile:

Used to be mostly portable, but now that school's over and for some reason I'm getting less hours at work too (I had way more hours during school) I'm always at home. I'm still interested more in portable though (closed, non leaking, not too big) but I always come back to my beautiful PX100s.

Homey.... nothing better than coming home late at night and just chilling with the 650s instead of the speakers.

Oy... can you say SWEETNESS?

I used to use my cheap earbuds at school quite a bit, but lately I've shifted to almost 100% home.
