Or to break it down even further: Bowie (rhymes with Joey) =correct
Bauee (like Jack Bauer) =wrong

When I wrote Bowie/Joey, I meant to illustrate that the pronounciation of Bowie rhymed with Joey.

He's never been called David Joey as far as I know, not even by a British DJ

Well in that case, I say it like David Baow-ie not rhyming with joey.

Folks round here pronounce the town Bowie - like the thing that floats in the water!!

I deffinetly say it joey style iv never heard is cow style and i think its super funny to think some people do say it like that
