I bought these because my dad thought it was an incredibile steal. For the price these are great phones. I use them even though I already have my Westone UM2's! If you're in the market for new headphones, you can get these + a Shure extension or upgrade (the same price) to an inline volume control on amazon! I'm not sure if this has been posted. If it has, I apologize. Oh and in my opinion, these are better than the real Sony bud's that cost 25-30 dollars. IMO they should be priced around $40-50 but hey, one person who thinks they should be put in their ears could be another man's headphones he thinks belongs in the trash. You're choice. It's only 5 bucks. What do you got to lose?

I have been using these for quite some time. They are not great but good enough and fairly comfortable. Hard to get a good fit for me though.

A friend of mine bought the newer HPM-77 which he swears are a great bang for buck.

I had the HPM-80's that came with W900i's.

They're the reason I got into head-fi and better quality earphones in general.

Although they're not that good, they're a damm sight better than iBuds, or the cheap ***** I borrowed from my sisters £20 memory stick MP3 thing, and they formed my first portable rig before I got CX300's and discovered head-fi

I'm now upgrading again soon to Denon's, all because of the path the little HPM's showed me.
