Do the CX300's have the "Sennheiser Sound"?

Everytime someone says they even sound SIMILAR to the MD33S or EP630, you have a anger going on. And over 3 members already said there are no significant differences between the cans.

And we wouldn't know if you had both cans, would we? We'd just take up the msgs you leave.

maybe he just wants to believe that the cx300 that costs twice as much as the ep630/md33 are not the same.

yes.. I got cx 300 and read so many debating posting about EP 630 (confirmed it is same as md 33), vs cx 300. I can not resist to find the answer by my ears. Ordered EP 630 form amazon.com for 25$ free shipping.

cx 300 is amazing with its price 40$, but still not comparable to E3c.
I hope EP 630 is same good as CX 300, 25$ will be well spent.

How does "we don't know and can't control it" translate into yes?

I must say, I would love for the speculation to be true, all of the tests raving about these new headphones will show just how easily bias affects such a subjective review as headphones.

I agree that these have sibilance, but I believe that most if not all is due to a poor seal.

I'm looking foward to word from others who have tried other tips.

After 50hrs of burn in, the sibilance, even with my not so ideal seal is much less.

I just got my EP 630, yes Y cord, have not gotten time to burn in.
Unfairly comparing with my favorite CX 300,
yeah, they are different for sure, and definitely use different driver.
First listening impression,
1)CX 300 is little louder.
2)EP 630 gets way more bass, yes, I am sure. (Surprise me too.)
3)CX 300 has more transparent and clarity.
4)CX 300 got more sibilance than EP 630. (Surprise me too.)
5)EP 630 is warmer than CX 300.

Outlook:
1)Creative A logo and L/R on the outside,
2)EP 630 straight plug,
3)Equal length to left and right.
4)Gold-plated plug on EP 630, silver color on CX 300.
Other than those difference, they are awfully same (I mean “looks and feels”), have
same material for comfortable ear tips and same soft plastic for supple cords.

For metal and rock, I will go with EP 630, cheaper and better bass.
Price is only around $25, almost half price of CX 300 ($40). I got it from Techdepot.com(same as office depot).
