do I want the OPA132 or the OPA2132?

I'm looking to try something different than the OPA2227 opamp that I have, and I was looking at the OPA132 based on Tangent & Mister X's opinions.

So is it the OPA132 or the OPA2132 that I would need to use in place of the OPA2227?

Sorry for the stupid questions, I'm still pretty new when it comes to opamps.

If you have the 2227, you will need the 2132 - those are both pin-compatible DUAL opamps - hence the extra 2 in front of their #.
The others are single versions.

The OPA2132 is compatible with the OPA2227.

Is this for your Maxi Moy? In another thread you say you have OPA227 and also use OPA627s. These are single opamps. If you are looking to replace these you will need single channel opamps. The OPA132 would be what you want.

Personally I think the OPA132 opamps are decent for some portable uses and when on a strict budget, but they really sound like crap compared to the OPA627.

The OPA2604 sounds pretty close though, you may want to try that one too.
