Hello everyone.

Just joined so this is my very first post.

Got the SBC HP 1000 today. I bought it because of the pretty good reviews here an there...

But...I don´t know, the bass doesn´t seem to be anywhere

I have a pair of HP-890:s (where of course the plastic broke into pieces) but those sounded full.

Got the HP-1000 for like 30 Euros NEW...but I´m still dissapointed
Feels it needs like 6-7 db around 140 Hz to get "balanced" with the vocals etc..."burn in" maybe..but again I don´t know....

So what would a headphoneamp do for me with these?

Thanks

Well...

My best converter atm is an ESI 192 soundcard in my PC.
I also tried the main out, which had better juice, so the sound got a bit bigger, so apparently they need a headphone amp

I´m totally new to this stuff...only had the HP-890 and Porta Pro...which both produce a lot of bass...

Question is if a headphoneamp will get me the bass...

Thanks

Maybe it will, maybe it wont...
Maybe you are used to too much bass

Dont you have any music/audio shop, that has a amp you could test them on, before you go out and spend about 250$ on an amp?...

Audio memory is not to be trusted, but if I recall correctly, the 890 had less prominent bass from my x-can than directly from the mac. (got to try that again some time to make sure I heard it right... could be different volumes playing me a trick too)
