I wanna get rid some of the sibilance. But I wanna keep the clarity of the headphones.. Which is better, EQ or modding in order to keep most of the headphone sound but removing the sibilance as much as possible?

EQ is your best, easiest, and least expensive option. Modding has the potential to absorb frequencies which might result in lower clarity. EQ just tames the harshness but retains the clarity. Just be sure to not boost any frequencies above the 0db line, but that shouldn't be a problem because you're just looking to cut out treble

Do you have the portable low resistance one or the 250 ohm home version, and what source do you use? Phone, tablet, computer (OSX, iOS, Android, etc)Any apps you recommend?
Eq will effect the sound signature of what you are changing not to say it will be bad but if you change one thing it will effect the rest. Sometimes it can be fine other times it can wreck a headphone it just depends on which one and what it is being run with.
I've the 250 Ohm version. I use my desktop/laptop as sourceDo you have the portable low resistance one or the 250 ohm home version, and what source do you use? Phone, tablet, computer (OSX, iOS, Android, etc)

Can't go wrong with Magni, it'll help the Beyers to sound better than from a sound card. EQ will still be the best bet and then if you're not happy, can always mod as a last resortI've the 250 Ohm version. I use my desktop/laptop as source

If it's just for music files stored on your computer, drop everything and move your files into Foobar2000. It's the most customizable interface I've ever used and can't recommend it highly enough. It's the audiophile's default program for music. For streaming services, I can't help much there because any EQ will be built in to that program. I'm also not sure if there is a software blanket EQ that covers all system sounds.Okie. I just got no clue which software to use![]()
