Do any over-the-head headphones have a similar sound to canalphones?

Weird question, but nevermind. I'm in the unfortunately situation of having to choose which canalphone to buy without listening to it first, since the shops near me either don't stock any, or refuse to allow people to test phones which requires insertion into the ear. However, most shops do allow customers to listen to their over-the-head headphones, so I was wondering if there were any headphones of this type which had similar "sound features" to the popular canalphone models. For instance, are there any headphones (preferably sennheiser since most shops seem to stock that) which have a (lack of) bass similar to an ety ER4P, so I could get an idea of what the ER4P would sound like in terms of bass? Or a headphone with an overpowered bass similar to a shure e2c? This way I could get some idea what to expect before I made my decision.

Cheers.

The Etys are similar to AKG K501, but a bit more detail in the treble and minus the soundstage.

E2c I haven't heard.

actaully no imo. ety and k501 has similar sound signature because they are both treble driven, but overall doesnt sound the same. for canalphone, mainly the soundstage and the impact arent as good, imo.

canalphone will have the music sound like its coming from the middle of the your head. no matter how good the soundstage is, i always have the feeling that the sound is closed in. its quite a different experience when you first try it out, but its very easy to get use to.

i used my er6i with music on while lawn mowing and vacuuming, i couldnt even hear the machine running, thats how good it isolate.
