Yours is probably the same tube if the internals look like mine. Its just labeled Sylvania.

Has anyone found an input driver tube better than the 6n1p?

I have the 6n1p, but keep coming back to my Brimar 6BQ7A tube, that I like best of all. I haven't done a detailed comparison, but generally circle back to the Brimar after a while. I just find it a better match for my other "regular" tubes. ( U52 and Sophia meahplates)

Hi All,

I apologize for going a little off topic here, but I don't know where else to post this. Does anybody know if Donald is okay? I ask because I wrote to him 2 weeks ago and (very unusually) I haven't heard back. I know there are still wildfires raging in California, so I'm just wondering openly if he's okay.

Yes, I read most of the posts here before I placed an order and great recommendations. For now I am actually enjoying the tubes that Donald provided with the amp. So good and it will only get better per the discussion here.

Man, it has been a really while enjoying the music non stop..so good....

An aside re tubes - I'm gonna try the JJ2A3-40s. I had a pair in my Bottlehead 2A3 several yrs ago and really enjoyed them.
