So, I'm probably gonna buy a AKG K272HD (55ohm) and I heard it would be better to use them with an amp because my integrated soundcard may not be enough and give a low volume output. I found an old Mini Scratch Mixer - BST Tiny 10 console dj: here's the pic

front---> Bst Tiny 10 - Audiofanzine

back --->

can I use it to amplify the sound of headphones through it? what cables would I need to plug it to my pc and what adapters are needed to plug my headphones?

Thank you very much for your answers

I'm using a mixer to AMP my headphones right now. The Sound is very good to me. Definitely better than it was without one. I'd just make sure its giving better Amps or Volts than your current setup. I'm still researching, but a dedicated amp will likely give better control of the audio signal. Just try it and see.

p.s. I've been told I should buy a 3,5mm to 2 pin RCA cable. So I just to plug the 3,5 jack behind my pc where I currently plug my headphones and then the 2 RCA pins where there's the "CD" output on the back of the mixer right? then I plug my headphones on the front and I should hear the sound? sorry but I'm a noob when speaking about this things

If you're unsure of the connections, try to consult the manual. I plug my DAC into one of the mixer inputs and then just plug the phones into the Headphone jack.
