I just renamed this thread instead of making a new one. I have been scouring the internet for several hours now and haven't found anything worthwhile. I have found some amazing speaker designs, but I have no idea if my Marantz 2235B will power them. Does anyone know of a good speaker kit that will cost under $300/pair that my Marantz will pair well with? The room is not very big, probably 15x15 but no bigger than 20x20. The kit I was interested in the most was the RS-71 that recommends an amp of 40-150 watts. I can't really afford to buy a new receiver so it is pretty crucial that I pair the speakers with the Marantz. Many of the designs only have graphs that I do not have the knowledge to read to know if I would have enough power. I want a nice project to work with my granddad while we are on vacation while getting the best sound for my buck. I would like these to sound better than a pair of Paradigm Atoms or Energy RC-10s if possible.
Thank you a lot.
