DIY FM Tuner

Looks like fun. Either one would be neat.

I built on the Bottlehead Foreplay tube preamps a year or so back. Tons o' fun, and rather cheap for the quite amazing sound when connected to my big rig.

They also introduced a Single Ended Experimenter's Kit that has a headphone output as part of the circuit.

Someone has taken sex sells to a whole new level.

Sorry to put things slightly off topic, but does anyone know how to build the best FM ariel? I just bought a small $15 second hand tuner and need an ariel to go with it. A single piece of wire isn't doing a fantastic job.

Ok don't quite understand it yet, but i'll read through it a bit more and do a bit of searching to find a better explaination of how that is supposed to be assembled.

Layout is everything at these frequncies and an RF Signal Generator is a must to tune the stages properly. The test equipmewnt required will cost more than the project but still could be both fun and a good learning experience.
