Found this link (not sure if it's been posted before), thought I'd share it. If anyone tries this project it would be really interesting to hear about the results (if you don't accidentally fry your brain)...

Yep, 'high voltage' projects. Bon Scott would have been pleased...

I'm waiting for setmenu to complete, patent, and being selling his ribbon headphones.

Both articles out line many usefull things. This should be very easy for the shop here. Need an electrostatic amp to power them when I'm done. Any takers?

First in line: PM or emai zzz. He has the experience with making incredible KGSS's and has a pair of Omega IIs with which to verify his work when he is done.

Second would be Antness at HeadAmp. While less experienced he is very good at building amps and may surprise you.

Were you thinking of retrofitting an existing pair of headphones, or building the earpieces yourself? Just curious... not sure which would sound better, but the former would definitely be easier.

Ask me around Thanksgiving or so... if you can supply the volume pot, RCA jacks, and other such case hardware, I have some spare boards and parts are easy to order...

I am not looking at buying an amp. I just need someone to try them on there own amp when I'm done.

Fewtch: I am goung to build the entire headphone. Its not fun for me to retro fit. But it probably would be easier.

Well, I'm local and I have a 'static amp...

I look forward to hearing how your DIY phones progress.
It would be nice to have a fellow 'Phonesmith' on the boards,

Making the darn things is a highly addictive pastime[obsession
