I buy the cheapest earbud and use the shell for my build . Usualy u can get them on AliExpress around 2-3$. And the original driver is not so bad, I re use them with the cable in standard mx500 shell with a little fine tuning , and is perfect for my children, wife , friends,..
Hi. Can you post a picture of how you measure your earbuds? I'm curious on how you do it. So that if it's possible, i can also compare my graph to yours :v To a certain extent of course
Thank you sir. It seems in principles, you and i measured the same way ) I just do it without foam, to eliminate the errors or variables given by the foam+pressure applied to the earbuds while measuring

I usualy use this https://a.aliexpress.com/_EG1Ko9Q but the bigger 4.8mm fits in too. You need to clear and drill the hole a little bit, and to remove the black plastic
1) standard mx500 - wide stage, good higs and mids, fragle than black and white colors
2) fit with mx500 shells, a bit narrow soundstage, good bass and less highs(vs 1.)
3) do not fit for mx500 shell - this is for wood housing, but wery airly for sound
Hey everyone!
What is a good material to make Bass tubes for buds? Plastic and/or metal.
Something that can maybe also be bent without snapping/bending so sharp that the air won't come through any more? Thinking of creating something like a bass labyrinth as @ClieOS has posted in one of his recent builds...
Thanks!

I think I 'd start with plain old mx500...
Either trimming the fake vent away and replacing it with tube(s) or opening the vent inside towards the shell and hiding a tube inside the vent.
But basically I also want to use the tubes on other shells.
I have a few metal bell shape shells at home too. There a tube would be very short, but there might still be a usable result I hope. The rivet mod is also creating a pretty short tube.
Probably not entirely the same working principle there, but still...
Also I 'd like to have 3 or at least 2 different diameters of opening for the tubes. Thinking 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm?
Preferably big opening - thin material - bendable without kink.
