Hi, I would like to make my own DAC, but I don't know where to start. The only thing I know is that I would like to use ES9038PRO (which I can buy at Mouser). But that is the only thing I know for sure. Are there any schemes for balanced DAC's that I can use as a reference? Any help would be great.

Thanks

Usually the manufacturer has an evaluation board that they use to characterize their parts. It doubles as a "marketing board" that allows the customers to evaluate the chip without having to develop their own board. The schematics for these tend to be available. It could be worth an email to ESS to ask for this if you can't find it online.

I took a quick glance at the data sheet and searched in the obvious spots for the EVM schematic. I came up blank as well. ESS has always held their cards pretty close to the chest for some reason.
