Lucky me, I almost pull the trigger for BRASS. There are some 2nd hand around here.
As the owner of TRUTH, I don't like to have 2 phones sound similar to each other.

Me too! I need to be sure that each of my iem's have a distinct sound signature that draws me to them otherwise there is no fun to be had. I studied the graphs very carefully and am content with abiding with my Truth Editions which compliment my Campfire Audio Andromeda's quite well.

The brass with copper cable are my favourite. They sound more linear and are more clear than the other ditas.. but Ive heard about the maintenance needed for the brass truth and I'm not so sure if I can keep up with it

iBasso DX200 and Dita Truth (silver) awesome cable (using the balanced screw on plug).
Campfire Audio Vega.

Crystal clear, lush mids, deep full bass, excellent detailing and crisp nonfatiguing highs.

Hi,

I have some question and would like some answer to it.

Does The Truth worth picking over The Answer? Please give me a short explanation on why you think so.
Dita IEM looks very quality but I have some issue about its size on both the ear pieces and headphone jack.
How big is the headphone jack? A picture of size comparison to other items would be helpful.
Also how big is the ear pieces? The ear pieces look rather big, so how comfortable is it?

I have IE800 and I love it. Would I love Dita IEM also?

Thanks,

Recently sold my non truth and looking for The Truth. I have small ears and had no issues on ergonomics. Jack is big but not a problem in my opinion.

A question about differences on truth/non truth. I had just one complain about my non truth - a little subbass rolloff. Do Truth Edition have more subbass rumble?

Which 2 or 3 songs might you listen to to determine the Truths' sub-bass capability? I can give them a listen to try and help out.

The Truth will not give you the sub bass of : Lyra, Vega, IT03 nor 846.

I'm not even talking about bass heavy iems, I own MDR-EX1000 (best subbass I've ever heard) and Flare Audio R2S. Both have more body in a lower bass. One thing I have to point that I was able to listen to Dita only using foams (Comply or Havi). They were too bright on stock silicone. No changes between silicone and foams in subbass area.

Just a quick sample. I can hear and feel timpani here.

I felt there was some subbass information missing in Dita. Pairing with DX200.

I wouldn't think so either. My ideal bass presentation is that which presents with a speedy yet weighted sub-bass, uncoloured mid-bass, and effortless lower mids. So I guess a uber detailed and extended bass. The Lyra, Vega, and 846 are known to have a bass dominated presentation according to every review I have read. My Andromeda's have the most linear bass to my ears of the 3 aforementioned as far as a BA iem is concerned. I am glad that the Truths do not present bass the way that Lyra, Vega, or 846 do as I would be disappointed. I purchased the Truths because I wanted that DD bass quality with a reference level tuning and I think that they really deliver on that expectation for me without being bass heavy or too warm sounding. I don't find the Truths to be too bright, rather, they are quite revealing of ones source or signal pathway.

I'm not looking for a basshead iems. I'm just really demanding when it comes to bass. And at this price point I want a bottomless, extended lows, which I didn't find in my Ditas. That lack of lower end weight was my only complain. Everything else was perfect and I get great synergie with my DX200. So I tought there will be some differences in truth/non truth subbass. If not, I'm not going to buy The Truth and try to searching somewhere else.

Thanks for your input.
