I'm using the non truth edition with the x5 and the pico slim for classical tracks and just straight out of the x5 for vocal tracks. Both ways they sound amazing just for different purposes :)

Man they weren't kidding about the burn in... checked in earlier today and after about 40 hours things have changed quite a bit. Vocals seem a little recessed and not particularly clear at the moment. I am sure that will change as i get somewhere near the recommended 400 odd hours.

I messaged DITA about it earlier and they noted changes at 50/100/200 hours. I don't subscribe to the burn in theory myself, but that might be useful for anyone else seeking figures for reference

Being dynamic driver based, our earphones do require some burn-in.  We don't really want to get into the number of hours, just like most other manufacturers, because the burn-in tracks, the gain settings and impedence matches could potentially affect the said number of hours.  Most times, we keep ours running at just below listening volume and then do a de-mag / de-gauss after every 72 hours.

I only mentioned 400 hours because that is what i read. I have no belief either way but they have changed a lot over 60 plus hours.

@Ditti how do you de-gauss them ?

We use tracks 7 & 8 from the XLO Reference Recordings Test and Burn-in CD.  I have also tried the Cardas Clarifier app and for most intents and purposes it seems to work too.

I've just seen a video of a laser engraving on your FB page, any more hint on what that is for? Any upcoming products? Is your headphone plans are just speculation or it is something in plan for dita?

what is de-mag/de-guass. Excuse my ignorance.

Supposedly playing a sine wave that goes from 20hz to 20khz over about a minute demagnetises audio gear. Supposedly. The Cardas Clarifier app does this.
