A few pictures of the Dita in-ears taken in Tokyo.

The Answer (truth edition) sounded great out of the AK240 balanced.

The Answer (truth edition) sounded great out of the AK240 balanced.

Did you happen to try them with the Calyx M Gavin ?

London demo opportunity anyone??
AU$300 is alot of dosh to me right now and for this extra amount I can also pick up a set of full size Sennheiser Momentums for use at home to compliment the Answers I'll use when travelling.

B&W P7 > Kef M500 > Mo's

My imo

B&W P7 > Kef M500 > Mo's

My imo

Cheers.
I just wrote a short synopsis of my experience with the Momentum, P7, MDR-1, and Beoplay H6 elsewhere on the forums after a brief listen to them all the other day.

I prefered the Momentum because of its delicacy and outright musicality.
The P7 was good but more forceful in its presentation.
The B&O sat somewhere in the middle but was closer to the Mo.

But we digress...

I am considering 'upgrading' to the Truth edition for two reasons. One, I want to hear for myself if there are any significant differences. Two, the cable on the Answer is very rubbery. Since it is designed to be worn over the ear, I much prefer a cable with memory. The Answer's cable is very rubber band like, with zero or almost zero memory.

On the contrary, it has quite a bit of memory, but springy memory in that it isn't like a wire, but rubber that is holding a particular shape.

It's a fabulous IEM. You will love its natural sound.
Be patient with it because all the burn in talk is definitely true.
I reckon i would have around 200 hours on mine and i am loving them more and more. Spacious, excellent bass response and the midrange has really opened up.

Congrats.

It appears from some comments (here and in other places on the web) that the difference in sound between Answer and Truth models is similar to the difference between copper and silver interconnect and speaker cables.
I remember having the opportunity a few years ago now (when I worked in the trade at a smaller specialist high end store) to compare cables of different topologies and materials. One consistent thing that stood out, regardless whether it was VDH, Chord, QED, etc, was that silver coated cables had an ever so slightly hotter top end right up high which tended to emphasise some instruments and add to the 'airiness' and 'sparkle'.

Has anyone else found this too?

Most of the time I preferred the full copper cables (although I currently run slightly mellower sounding solid core silver Litz between cdp and valve amp) and am thinking that the Answer may really be the better product for me regardless of price. I prefer a more 'organic' and musical sound.

I am very pleased on how fast the driver in dita can actually be. I tested some very fast tential indian tabla music that really pushes the bass and mid dynamic and speed of gears and dita was able to go toe to toe of the ck100pro. Certain things on ck100pro remained unique but than dita just produced a much more engaging sound than ck100pro.

I would be interested in a comparison between the Phonak Audio PFE-232 and respectively Answer and Answer Truth Edition. These IEMs are only available in Asia, no European dealer?

Thank you!

wait I'm confused does your Truth sound great out of ak240 or does the special Truth balanced cable edition sound great out of the ak240s balance TRRS?

Dita had brought along two pairs terminated with a 2.5mm trrs plug for use with the AK240 balanced in Tokyo.

After listening to IE800 right away dita IE800 comes across as having a very obvious V-shape, dita comes across as a much more balanced sounding gear.
