Disappointed with E2c ultra-soft sleeves

I've been using the new E2c ultra-soft sleeves for a few weeks now, and I've decided I like the original clear flex sleeves better. I've tried all 3 sizes, and I find the only way to get a good seal with the new sleeves is to jam them in real far, but then I find them very uncomfortable. I think the problem is that they're very flimsy, and the E2c sound tube is quite large, so it scrapes against my ear canal. I suspect these sleeves are better for the E3c, which has a narrower tube. Also, the thin material doesn't seem to isolate as well overall.

So I've concluded that I like the old flex sleeves better. I don't need to jam them in very far to get a good seal and extremely strong bass.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

I had the same experience you describe (jamming them in really far), until I realized that I could get a good seal right at the entrance to my ear canal, using the large ultra soft in my left ear and the medium ultra soft in my right ear. It still takes a bit of fiddling, but once I get the seal, the comfort is superb. There is no feeling of intrusion, unlike the Ety feeling. Give it a shot.
Just play around with the tips right at the entrance to your canal......you'll know it when you get a seal. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. I actually tried that already, with the large ultra-softies. They were very comfortable, but there was nowhere near as much bass as I get with the medium clear flexies. Obviously everyone has differently shaped ear canals so maybe that's it...

Anyway, I'm reasonably happy with the clear flex sleeves now that I know they're the best thing for me.

Like most, the foamies are my favorite. But when I am sharing or inserting/removing frequently, I actually greatly favor the soft-sleeves to the clear sleeves. I do find that they sound better when I get them further into my canal but I don't personally have any extra discomfort in that.

It is nice to hear some criticism though. Everyone was overcome with excitement that they were coming out, I was wonding if anyone found them to be less than what they expected.
