Thanks, I didn’t know some of that, the mics for example. Just a minor clarification, it was mixed and mastered in analogue, only the recording was digital. Incidentally, that mixing desk is famous in the industry, it was one of a set of 3 commissioned by Air Studios, custom built by Neve and described by some as the best analogue desk ever built. One of those 3 is still in use in Air Studios (Air Lyndhurst) today, Air Studios (Monserrat) is no more though, it was damaged by a hurricane in the late 1980’s and then finished off for good in the ‘90’s by a volcano!

That studio was doomed from the start with the hurricane, volcano and George Martin losing his hearing.

I think they made like 70 albums there over the years, many of them excellent/famous. George Martin has been dead for nearly a decade, that does tend to cause a loss of hearing, except if you’re an audiophile! lol

His hearing loss occurred many years before his retirement and later death.
