DIR800c main unit or comparable DH amp?

I'm in need of a Dolby Headphone amp/processor (don't really know the lingo). The DIR800C would be ideal for my purposes (2x optical+stereo) but since I already have 200$ headphones I don't want to shell out extra for the wireless headphones.

Can the DIR800C main unit be bought separately somewhere (I understand it has audio out for wired headphones) or are there equivalent amps available? Sources would be Xbox (games and movies at 5.1), computer (Soundstorm, music) and TV (general) so I need minimum 2x optical 1x stereo.

Good luck with your search. I've owned the 800c for about 4 months and play XBox games to the wee hours. Great sound and positioning especially through the Monster Cable component cables in 5.1. Contact Kohn at Audio Cubes and see if there was a return - highly doubtful but its worth a try.

I seem to recall seeing one in the FS forum.
