what do you guys think of this camera? we sell them at the photo dept. that i work at, and i really like its speed and features (the video is 30fps and 640x480!). anyone have one? here's a big review of it, w/ pics.

If you are looking into a big zoom digital camera, maybe take a look at the Canon S1 IS, which has the same 10x zoom, but it is also optically stabilized. that means that the long zoom is a lot more versatile and resistant to blurry pictures from shaky hands. Also, canon also tends to have a bit higher quality, IMO, but does cost a bit more.

yeah, that canon's a bit too expensive for my tastes....and since i work in the photo dept., i get a really good discount.
any other recomendations in the around 300 dollar price range?

For a ~$300 digital camera, I think it would be hard to beat the Canon A80. Simply go look at the pictures, they are absolutely stunning. Take a look at the reviews and do your research, the A80 might be the one
