digital out?

Headphones by their very nature are analog devices. Therefore, they cannot accept a digital signal unless they have electronics built in to them like a Digital to Analog converter. I am not aware of any phones with a built-in D/A converter.

Well, there are some home theater headphone systems with digital input like AKG's Hearo 999 and several from Sony. And AT's USB headphone has a built in d/a-converter, too...

Oh, but it's sooooooooo sweet. IT's not just the amp though. It's headphones with the amp and a D/A converter. Sounds really, really, really good. It's worth every penny.

i don't have that many pennies.

and if you ever hear the phrase, "my two cents worth," it's because there once was a two cent piece.

but it is beautiful. i can see people swapping tubes from here until the day they die looking for the holy grail of sound.

I bet you if you sold your car, your house and rented out your wife for the weekend, you just MIGHT have enough pennies for the Orpheus. It's worth it.

Oh yeah, and forget tube rolling on that baby. That would be sacriledge. I'd have to come over there and beat you if you did that.

Hmmm. Maybe one of the things on my list of things to do if I ever have way to much money will be to get an orpheus and a big battery pack and walk around town with it... I'd probably have some boddy guards just for that too

Oh, what am I saying?... If I had that much money I'd be too bussy trying to fit a gas turbine engine into a Boxter to bother pissing people off with my orpheus.

(and with that little bit of off topic drivel I think it's time for bed.)

You could always install the Orpheus in your jet powered boxer and drive around with headphones on at 300mph
