Could this be worth for the money (~ US$ 279)

Am I missing something? $279 for that? Looks like a fancy TBAAM.

It's more or less a dongle for the Pro Tools LE software. It's probably not worth the price if you don't need Pro Tools LE.

x2... Might as well move up to the regular MBox 2. At least that has microphone preamps, monitor preamps, inputs, etc. But IMO, all Digidesign hardware is overpriced considering what's inside. They tax because they can...
