Difference from Sony MDR-E888 SP and LP?

the LP stands for the long cord and the SP for the short one...the SP is designed for use with remotes so the long cord won't be such a hassle...don't worry about it being too short though..it should come with an extension cord...not 100% sure about this though...

no... they don't

I believe that is the SL version that comes with an extra cord (a'la D66)

The cord of the SP version is just long enough for it to reach an inside jacket pocket... and the SP version come with a much better mini pleather bag, compared to that bug-like thing that comes with the LP version

Ah..that makes sense...thanks for pointing that out duncan..i was always wondering why sony named some of them SP and SL...
