That was out awhile back with Nicholas Cage? I just saw it in the cheap theaters last night found it kinda interesting. Kudos to the director for allowing Cage to punch a woman out and kick another woman in the face.

My girlfriend found it hilarious.

Sadly that was about all I liked about the movie. The original, given its release date, was far more suspenseful to me. This was was just too weird and awkward.

That was a seriously scary and disturbing movie - even with Edward Woodward in it

Why does Hollywood (and Steve Martin in particular) insist on remaking everything ?

i liked the movie, i was actually expecting a lot worse, i wonder how the remake is and i was also suprised to see leelee sobeski in the movie, haven't seen her do much lately movie-wise and yeah it did have it's hilarious moments sometimes, also i'm not a huge fan of cage, but he does semi-ok for the most part, btw when was the original released?

I just read the synopsis of the remake and it sounds like they did the original wrong. The best thing about the original is the "virgin" twist.

Otherwise, I thought the original was pretty entertaining, but certainly not the "sixth best" British film ever made, as some poll on Wikipedia suggests. I also found the whole Christopher Lee pagan-dancing-around-the-maypole stuff especially annoying.
