They fit me just fine. I rarely have to adjust them.

yes 100%, the reviewer is right regarding comfort
I actually had my Diana Phis for sale on audiomart for over a month as it hurt to wear for over an hour at a time.... a few low ball offers so I decided to keep them and see what I could do to improve the comfort.
The simple 20 dollar pad mod made all the difference in the world.
To your point, 4 grand and you have to add 20 dollar Dekoni pads to make them right, not ideal, i agree .... but... in the end, its all about sound quality, they are my favorite headphones by far.
In defense of Abyss, fit will be different for everyone so I'm sure it's difficult to make a universally comfortable headphone while still focusing on sound quality (form following function).

comfort has never been abyss's strong suit in my experience but ymmv
i thought i had made it clear that i was conveying my experience with abyss headphones - not yours or anybody else'sIn your opinion, not mine. I find them quite comfortable.
perhaps "wearability" might be a better word to describe my experience with the abyss ab-1266. it wasn't uncomfortable per se but i found its weight and design made it an unwieldy headphone to wear.interestingly if I do not have to move I find the 1266 TC surprisingly comfortable....there is no clamping pressure to speak of and they just kind of float above my head....a bit cumbersome to be sure but when I am done listening I do not have that feeling of clamping discomfort
