I hope these will be @ Canjam, I haven't even tried the originals yet, but it's top 3 on my list.
$1000 over the first edition? I wonder why?
I should have waited. But how would I have known?
Yeah, that's the sucky part about early adopters. But, something better comes along all the time. Excuse to buy another one lol
@Joe Skubinski Are the new Diana's coming to RMAF?
It's always better until we find out it's just different. Usually months after the money has been spent. But that's what we are and that's why we're here, right?
We'll have Diana, the new Diana Phi, and the AB-1266 Phi CC at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in Denver this week along with exciting electronics from Eleven Audio (XIAUDIO) including their upcoming Sagra R2R DAC and dual monoblock Formula S amplifiers, of course all wired with JPS Labs cabling,
Stop by for a listen in CanJam and Suite 6000. Hope to see you there!
A bit more on Diana Phi...
We have exciting news! A second version of Diana is coming, the Diana Phi.
As you probably just thought, this Diana has the AB-1266 Phi driver inside! It’s as close as you can get to the resolution of her big brother in a compact portable headphone, with subtle detail retrieval only the AB-1266 can beat.
You’ll also find this version is a better fit for those who like a larger ear space and a lighter clamping force. We’ve sculpted the ear pad outward with a horn shape that’s 'bigger on the inside' yet still maintains a sleek look on the head.
For now the Diana Phi only comes in the good looking Titanium Gray ceramic polymer finish shown, custom colors are always possible.
Sounds awesome!!!! I'll see you there. Can't wait to give these a try.
I should mention the original Diana model remains current, so we will have two Diana models going forward.
Also to clear up confusion on the naming/drivers, the current Diana uses the same tech as the AB-1266 Phi, but it's not the exact same driver, different materials, etc. This new Diana Phi has the same drivers as in the AB-1266 Phi CC, sans a few millimeters to make it fit.
Is there an upgrade option for current Diana owners?
Nice to see availability in November, not a long wait at all.
