Has anyone used the Abyss Diana with the Sony TAZH1ES? Would like to make sure it works with my equipment before I spring for them.

Yes, sounds great out of the TAZH1ES.

Single ended or balanced, or doesn't matter?

  4. woodcans
I have only used the balanced output with the Diana.

We have one of these and it does sound very good with Diana. You'll need to use the 4.4mm balanced output, 1.2 watts vs 300 mW for the single ended out.

Thanks for the reply, I've looked at the cable but it's a bit steep at $550. Is the Diana compatible with aftermarket cables such as Moon Audio (I would assume so, but the notch at the 2.5inch headphone terminus may indicate otherwise)?

aftermarket cables work great. I've been using this one for a bit without a problem

just but the correct plugs and make your own 4.4mm

I might be wrong, but if you are buying the Diana new, and not used, you can order it with the cable terminated with your preferred plug.

Mine came with stock cable terminated with 2.5 mm balanced plug. I used a Moon Audio adapter to convert to 4 pin XLR.

Yep, just buy it with the 4.4mm plug. Same price

If you're rocking Diana, spring for the original cable. Don't buy a Porsche 911 and cheap out with the all-season tires - get the P-Zero.

Where you hear this? I thought the Diana was more or less phi tech already?
    Earpads look more generous

Didn't someone mention that a version with bigger pads was supposed to come out? Or I read something along those lines.
