is that a yes or a no? if it's a yes, what are your impressions from the audition?
Yes he has ordered one. That is what we were just discussing. Until the amber flashing light in your room went off because I said something positive about the abyss and you burst into the thread to remind me that you knew I liked it already.
I was in Tokyo last week for the Fujiya-Avic headphone show. Thought you might want to see a few pictures from Japan...
This guy had a serious portable rig...
He could carry around a car battery, an inverter and a desktop amp - would be just as easy.

thanks for doing me the courtesy of clarifying that on his behalf. i presume that he didn't audition one either, which is at odds with his rants in the z1r listening impressions only thread. guess he ignored his own emphatic advice on this occasion.
no amber alert lights i'm afraid but i seem to have pushed your buttons. saying something positive about the abyss is quite understandable because it's a great sounding headphone. what's harder to understand is your need to compare it and talk it up in every headphone thread that you post in.

@Joe Skubinski - the diana's headband looks adjustable. can you please provide the minimum and maximum headband lengths, the dimensions of the ear pads and the type of ear pad filling that is being used? thanks.

Hi Joe,
As seen in one of the pics, how do you feel about the iFi iCAN PRO paired with the AB-1266 Phi? Thanks, hope you are well.
Skubinski? Hmmm. A fellow Pollack making high end headphones? SweetWe don't have the final pads yet, sorry. We're waiting on final leathers, black cable for the black and coffee Diana, and packaging...

It was surprisingly good for the price, lots of power, control, and versatility. I've used their portable stuff in the past and it's always been great value for the money.
Spent 2 days with iFi's lead engineer and their industrial designer at the show, good guys. Engineering is on board with designing for great sound, not specs only, gotta love it. We may have a collaboration with them and Diana on a new portable device, more to come...

Super looking forward to the Dianas. I do believe I spoke with you Joe over in Tokyo. I was the big dude with the AK SP1000C and the Leica TL2. Looking forward to the Dianas, as a happy 1266 owner. Speaking of my 1266, I finally took it back from my friend who had it for the past 2 years xD

The Phi + IFi iCan Pro is a great combo i would say,
You can custome tune the synergy if you want to go SS or Tube or Hybrid mode etc , etc..
So for the money it is very good value.

Very OT:
Thats cool Christer!
You will have one of you best listening experience if they are setuped properly, and connected to a good source ( good Streamer / Vinyl / CD-Player)
If you like them i got them in our store for demo
Have a great day in Singapore!
