Diana Phi received 2 prestigious awards from expert reviewers in the headphone community, Headfonia.com gave her 2019 Best Headphone of the Year award, and Headfonics.com gave her a Best Headphone 2019 award! We very much so appreciate their professional thorough reviews and in taking the time to properly set-up, access, and understand these very high-performance headphones!
Living with Diana is a very different experience than 15 minutes. ABYSS_SMILEY_tiny.png

^ congrats on the accolades from those websites. i haven't spent any time with the diana phi because there isn't one available for audition at my local dealer unfortunately, but i have auditioned the diana twice and the diana v2 once. i feel confident that i have spent sufficient time with both (it was longer than 15 minutes btw) to gain an appreciation of what living with them would be like. that said, i've found that first impressions usually hold true for me in this hobby. and having been involved in it for more than 10 years now, it doesn't take long for me to get a handle on a headphone - ymmv.

The Diana v2 could be one of my favorites but the lack of impact bass keeps them far behind my 1266 phi tc.

Edit I rotated the ear pads on the Diana V2 and was greeted with more bass and it still feels comfy. but it's not at 1266 level of bass.

I am pretty set on purchasing the Diana V2. I currently own a Hugo2 but am considering purchasing the Woo Audio WA11 Topaz to power the Dianas. I feel like the Woo is supposed to have better bass weight than the Hugo2...but would I be giving up the sweet openness and detail of the Hugo2? Any experience with these two amp/dacs and the Diana V2? I mostly listen to rock and electronic type stuff...not always so well recorded.

Are you strictly portable?

the topaz drives the diana phi beautifully....it has more weight than the hugo 2 and the overall presentation is quite good despite the DAC not being as good as the chord....

What do you mean? What is it lacking? Impact, body, speed, texture, detail, etc.?

It lacks slam it does sub bass is ok but not mid bass everything else about the headphone is awesome. Just doesn’t do it for me and I’m trying to sell my set.

Listening to the Diana V2 now for my FiiO M11Pro review (balanced mode) and I am absolutely loving what I'm hearing from Radiohead! This setup is killer and though portable rivals many top-flight desktop setups I've heard. Joe: these headphones never fail to impress!

Similar thoughts over here. The Diana series are the first portables I've seen that really give a full taste of a desktop setup. Listening to some 80yr old Count Basie and Lester Young recordings from Mosaic on my Kann Cube and Diana Phis and I can't get over how real even recordings this old can sound.

as far as portable solutions go the diana phi sound wonderful through the WA11 Topaz...I fact even better than through the hugo 2 because of the added power which the diana need....the hugo2 is a better DAC but the integration of the balanced amp on the Topaz with the DAC is quite good
