Just got the CEntrance M8 v2, might be good with the DTR1, but can't say, as my DTR1 died and has been sent for repair (it suddenly died). When/if I get it back, I'll try the pair and post about it. (As an aside, the M8 does sound very nice with my phone, LG V40, though the usb connection is a bit wonky, sometimes hard to connect, easy to disconnect. But I'm just getting the hang of using it).

Still trying to wrap my mind around how good this device sounds. It seems to have zero weaknesses and it’s exceptional in many areas. The thing I’m really keying in on during this listen is the layering of the instruments in the sound stage combined with the imaging and note weight. It’s just so precise while also being really fleshed out/thick.

The pairing with the ATH-WP900 via 4.4mm and my iPhone SE2020 is incredible. Via Tidal Master, it beats my DAP/AMP of choice (Calyx M and Romi Audio BX2+) when it comes to pure music enjoyment. The aforementioned combo is more refined and detailled, but the H1 is an unique device.
Completely blown away since weeks now... It’s my precious hahahah

Is this one OTG? The current lightning to USB C cable doesn't work with my Honey/iphone, only the very short OTG cables with an adapter do

I have tested this Apple cable and it did not work, no OTG. Unfortunately...

I've sent the Honey H1 to an audiophile friend for testing, and he can't get the device to work with any smartphone including the Apple ones. It works with PC.

My devices were OK as I used it with almost anything except for an Apple smartphone. I wonder if it's the cable.

Did the Honey have the fw 2.0 installed? No way to make it work with my iPhone before fw 2.0

Yes. But when he connects to a smartphone, it doesn't get recognized by the PC again. Only after we apply the update procedure it appears in device manager.

(It doesn't work with Android too)

Mmmmhhh, strange thing happening here. The H1 never had connection issues with Android devices afaik. Sorry, cannot help much here. Contact Anson maybe.
