These are the LA2000 Lite with African Shedua Cups. They are recabled with the denon d7000 stock cable.

I would say these are on par with the stock d7000 imho except when it comes to detail. Way better than the d5000 and d600. D600 is way to sterile coming from these. These bring the fun back into music. Seriously

Im selling these beauituful cans because I'm going to be living in an apartment and now I can you speakers and open headphones. I also won't have time to be doing any serious listening. Will be at the library all day everyday. 22 Units! I love life. And i need the extra cash as these just sit under my desk in their box.

The condition of the headphones is a 9/10. There are insignificant signs of wear on the headband but absolutely NO scratches on the wood cups. The end of the cable, by the plug, is a little worn out but does not affect the ergonomics or sound at all. Hardly noticeable.

I live in Orange County, CA.
I accept Paypal. You pay fees or gift. SHipping included unless out of country. Then we talk.

Accepting Trades:
hd600; hd650 in good condition + cash

These are the LA2000 Lite, correct?  With D7000 cable?  Full LA2000 should have Jena cable.

Sorry to post a noob question, but could you comment on how this wood affects the sound?  And how African shedua wood compares to other kinds of wood cups in that regard?

Also, have they been dampened by lawson, or no?

Thanks, and glws!

the previous owner told me these cups provide a more lush sound that makes you want to just sit back and just get lost in the music. in my opinion it does that very well. as to how they compare to other woods i do not know. someone once told me that wood types dont matter its just for aesthetics although he was talking about guitars.

and they have been dampened by lawton audio. they are la2000 lites which mean that they have everything but their copper queen cable.

Wood types do matter for guitars! They affect the sustain, and whole frequency range. As for headphones, it isn't as noticeable and the thickness of the wood is the most affecting attribute. Obviously type has some effect, but the difference between putting a 2x4 and a thin sheet of wood by your ear is obvious.

These are nice headphones and if I didn't have 7000s, I would want them. Good luck with the sale.
