I need to sell off one of my headphones, so two of my Denons are going up for your consideration.  However, I love the Denon sound signature and plan to keep one pair, so whichever sells first, I'll keep the other.

The LA-7000 has the African Wenge cups and re-cabled to the Jena Labs Queen cable- length is 7.5 feet long and configured balanced with dual 3-pin Furutech XLRs.  I have the Jmoney v3 pads on them, but also have modded denon pads which used to be part of the markl mod.  The only flaw of these headphones is it's aluminum frame, having dings and scratches all around (look closely at pictures).  The wood cups are beautiful just as I got them.  Just to get these mods done will cost over $1300 not including a stock pair of D7000.  Asking $1250 including shipping cost to CONUS.  Paypal fee is 3%

The D7000 is in great condition all around except for the right wood cup which has some scuffs (look closely at pictures).  Bought them used this way and stored them in the box due to the LA7000 and HE-6 crowding my headphone stand.  Asking $750  including shipping cost to CONUS.  Paypal fee is 3%

6/26 Edit: Uploaded a pic of Lawton's certificate of authenticity that I forgot to mention.  I had it re-cabled after the mods were done, so it says "none" for the cable section.  However, the re-cabling was done by Lawton Audio and I have emails back and forth with Mark about the transaction if the buyer needs proof

Please ask if you have any questions or would like more/better pictures.

Keep in mind that the 7.5 foot "Copper Queen" recable in black nylon with the dual Furutech FP-601 plugs alone will cost you nearly $900 according to Lawton audio's website.  From checking similarly modded D7ks I thought I was being fair, and would like to keep the the discussion/offers on price via PM.

Interesting that you chose to  pick up a dk7 AND a la7k.  What would you say the biggest differences are between them, looks aside?  Also do you have a quarter inch adapter for the LA-7k?

I compared both headphones briefly and preferred the LA7000 in every way.  A bit of everything accounts for that probably like the better comfort of the J$ v3 pads, the balanced mode running through the Phoenix amp,  and the internal MarkL mods.  From sound alone, what I notice most is better separation of sounds(more transparent?) and tighter bass, which isn't weaker in anyway.  There are plenty of positive reviews and impressions to be found on this forum which I usually agree with.

I have an apuresound adapter for standard 1/4in use that I may include with the LA7K who might need it.  Thanks for the interest!

Nothing wrong with your asking price on the la7000's.  Don't pay attention to that guy who is obviously thread crapping on you.
