This morning i found the little box carrying a well protected Denon Dcp-150 unit in my mail .

I'll treat it like an high-end component because i spent quite a lot on this little item .

I have to live some time with it , before saying something but i just want to give you my first impressions , that are very positive
The unit is a little thank and weight , but is also very beautiful and i expected a sturdier thing . My unit is like new , i will post some shots later for sure .
It's soon to give out the character of this player

I'm listening to some well '90 rock with the sennhd650 plugged into the hpout on the Denon dcp-150 .

More later and how it stands against Panasonic ct470/570 and Sony d303

I'm trying it p.a.powered , line out into the Rudistor RP5 reference

I need again some time ; the headphones out is coherent for tonal accuracy among my portable sources , the player is bright compared to the d303 .

What i can say is this player is not perfect ( some sibiling on mids/high frqs. ) but as i say this i'm analyzing it as i would do with a full size player .

anyway , I still have to compare it the other players i have , I just want to get used to the sound .
Every compartment seem balanced ( soundstage , dynamics , tonal behavior , bass reprodction (

) , detailing ) ; the overall balance is the most clear strenght for me up to know in comparison to the d303 which is dark and smooth ( which i like too ) .

EDIT : here's some soft ****

whoa... those are purdy!

Before I got my 150, my 303 was my favorite sounding PCDP. Now, I find the 303 slightly dry.

I think that the 150 is quite a flat response, but I don't find it bright compared to the 303.

Perhaps your 150 is defective....You should sell it to me immediately!

( i watited one year to get my hands on one )

probably the d303 it's not up to the denon dcp150 . i'm still exp. the denon with my main rig , it's a solid class performer and i keep comparing it with my budget source ( pioneer s507 ) instead of putting it on pair with my other portables .
That's a simple thing , the tonal behavior is more natural then any other portable i tried before the denon .

I'm keeping switching between the d303 and the denon dcp150 and still deserve from giving the final thoughts
