Hello guys, i am in for my first serious audio combo and i would like a second opinion, please.

I have decided to buy the from Audio Gd the DAC19 DSP dac and C2 amp. For headphones, as i streched my budget already too much i thought of going either with only D7000 or D5000+Akg701. What do you think is going to provide me the better experience as i listen all kinds of music: classical music, rock, hip-hop, buddha bar, pop, oldies. So what's going to be?

1. Audio-gd dac19 dsp + C2 + Denon D7000
2. Audio-gd dac19 dsp + C2 + Denon D5000 + Akg 701

Thank you a lot guys for help.

6 hours, your approaching to the point of reason. When you wait until your thread is on page 2 to bump the point of reason will be closer still.

Given those choices I would get the D5000 and the K701. Single headphone systems are hopelessly boring. If you get the D7000 alone you will just be looking to sell it in a few months, and then headphone-less while you wait for the next thing to come. This way you can keep the D5000 around after you sell off the K701 and the replacement comes. If nothing else you can establish what sound you like based on those 2, look for a comparative review of those headphones VS something else (using the search function) and find exactly what your looking for.

Get D7000 and when you have money get K702.
There are a lot of nice headphones such as Grado,AudioTechnica,Sennheiser.
It would be good if you can find a place to audition them.
