Denon D2000 - Headband Rebuild - Full DIY Guide (Photo Heavy)

Many thanks mate. I know what you mean - the shipping costs can be so prohibitive to projects sometimes. Did you ever come to a solution with your Fostex? This build would be literally perfect for you as the hardware is identical in the headbands between the Denons and Fostexs.
No, I did get some double sided tape from a local shop but I'm afraid it will not remove smoothly from the Fostex headband. Until I get the right one which is removable I don't want to take a chance destroying the headphones.

Oh yeah - that doublesided is not likely to come off smoothly at all - and will likely peal the original pleather material.

Beautiful build! Would have modified my Denon 2000 this way if my original headband wasn’t missing original screws at the yoke..

Really like this headphone so I’ve replaced the headband with Hifiman’s look alike from AliExpress. And changed the original cable for MMCX connectors, also added some dynamat to tighten up the bass.

Awesome headband. May i ask from which seller you bought it?

Looks like it’s plastic on the pictures, but it’s metal of some sort
